Adam Pearson is an accountant and the Chief Financial Officer of Marañón Chocolate. In the US he also works in logistics, sales, and marketing. Adam and his wife Nery, who is a native of Peru, traveled to Peru for the 2011 cacao harvest season. They lived with the farm families. Adam, working with his older brother Brian Horsley, learned first hand the proprietary process of fermenting and drying of the 40% white Pure Nacional beans. Together they worked with the farmers, arranged logistics, and operated the fermenting and drying facility in the Marañón Canyon.
